MARTINEZ, CA (March 19, 2008) – Radioactive PC, a manufacturer of custom luxury computer systems, announces the release of its latest computer system, the Proton. The Proton features Intel Core 2 Duo, Quad Core and Core 2 Extreme Processors, video card technology from NVIDIA and ATI and DDR2 Performance memory modules.

There are three (3) models for the Proton. The Proton I1, which is based on the Intel G33 motherboard, the Proton I2, which is based on the Asus P5n-E motherboard, and the Proton A1 which is based on the Asus M2n-SLi motherboard. The Proton systems support the latest Intel Core 2 Extreme and AMD Phenom processors.

The Proton multimedia systems can support up to four (4) gigabytes of DDR2 800MHz Performance memory, and massive amounts of hard drive space. Whether you’re using the Proton for multimedia programs like, “Photoshop”, “AutoCAD”, Illustrator “” or playing the latest gaming titles like, “Crysis”, “Rainbow Six Vegas 2” or “Command and Conquer 3” the Proton systems will be able to handle them all.

The Proton systems are cooled with a modified heatsink and cooling fan. Through careful routing of internal wiring Radioactive PC is able to maximize the efficiency of the systems internal fans. Doing so enables the fans to cool the core components of the computer system with less restriction to airflow thus making sure that the system is cooled correctly and keeps it running at peak performance all the time.

The default system configuration for the Proton I2 contains two (2) gigabytes of Performance DDR2 800MHz memory, an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz 6MB Cache 1333MHZ FSB processor, Asus P5N-E Motherboard, two (2) 250 gigabyte SATA II 7,200 RPM 16MB cache hard drives in a RAID 0 array, a 500 Watt Power Supply, 20X Dual Layer DVD+-RW Drive with LightScribe technology, 16-48 DVD & CD Reader, High-Definition 7.1 Performance Audio, NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT video card, Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (32-Bit), multimedia keyboard, optical mouse and is enclosed in an all Aluminum Tower Chassis.
